A somewhat shabby Wingate compared to others I have stayed in. Very limited number of TV channels. I was told that the other channels cost too much. Actually, I think maybe this hotel costs too much for what it offers its guests. ...read more

The hotel was moderate at best. The staff was okay, but didn't go out of there way to greet you, or explain anything to you. The property was clean, and room was okay. Definitely under a 3 star, but not a bad property for a quick nights stay. Quite overpriced for what you get. ...read more

Family with Teens
Imagine sleeping in soft perfect clouds! That is what the beds here were like. Amazing wrinkle free linens of high thread count.Pillows of various types. Towels were high quality, thick, soft and absorbed well. T.V with Internet access if you did not have a laptop. Games for kids and movies on demand. Hotel? more like a bed and breakfast or Elegant get away stay.Clean,Quiet,Comfortable and Affordable.....never found this all before in one hotel until now. We stopped overnight on a trip from PA to FL. We were looking for a clean, reasonably priced room and we got just that. A good nights sleep too.

train whistle wakes you up!
This hotel was 2-stars, at best. Room was dirty and furnishings were old. There were no bath towels, had to get one from the front desk the next morning. Train tracks are right behind hotel and the whistle will wake you up at night! Never staying here again. ...read more

Lobby smelled like mop water. Requested non-smoking rooms, one smelled like someone had smoked a cigar. When asked to be moved, we were moved to a room that had not been cleaned. The manager had to call the cleaning crew back in to clean the rooms. On the third try of moving to another room, we ended up with one by the pool area.
